CARBONDALE -- Three mail carriers in Lackawanna County were awarded for having an accident-free record.
Walter Koza, Stephen Alnick, and Michael Scombordi are now members of the "Million Mile Club."
The National Safety Council's award was given to the three mail carriers Thursday morning at the post office in Carbondale.
All three have combined for nearly 100 years of service delivering letters in our area.
“A little bit of luck I guess. You just got to watch out for the other guy. There`s a lot of distractions out there,” Koza said.
“It`s just going out and doing your job everyday...I barely think about that,” Scombordi said.
As part of the "Million Mile Club" the workers were given a plaque, jacket, and pin for their accident-free record during their 30-plus years working for the United States Postal Service.
