The Bucknell Bison football team is mid-way thru their spring football practices. They will end with the spring game on April 24th at Christy Mathewson Stadium at 6:30pm.

The Bison are coming off an (8-3) campaign under 6th year head coach Joe Susan. The Bison return leading running back C.J Williams and junior quarterback R.J Nitti. Bucknell reached 8 wins for only the fifth time in their programs history and Susan was awarded with a contract extension thru the 2019 season.

Bucknell will return 16 starters for the 2015 season and it looking for it's first Patriot League title since 1996.

Nitti returns with his 1,553 yards passing going 105-195 with 13 touchdowns and only 7 int's. He played in 7 games before suffering an injury in the Bryant game. Nitti a junior averaged 221 yards passing per game last season.

On defense head coach Joe Susan likes the progress of former Danville wide receiver Bret Berg at strong and free safety. Berg is working in with the first unit for the Bison this spring.
