WEST HAZLETON -- A man from Luzerne County is behind bars after he allegedly molested five children.
After a month-long investigation, police arrested Luis Soto, 55, of West Hazleton on ten counts related to sexually abusing children.
With his son's sweatshirt over his face, police escorted Soto inside to be arraigned Monday evening. Soto had nothing to say to Newswatch 16, but you could hear him all choked underneath the sweatshirt.
According to police reports, Soto's alleged inappropriate contact took place from 2007 all the way up to 2011.
Police say the victims were spending time at Soto's house where it all happened and these were isolated incidents. They hope others take this as an opportunity to think about who is looking after their children.
"I think one of the lessons is you have to be very cautious with who you have your children around," said Police Chief Brian Buglio.
Luis Soto is locked up in Luzerne County prison, where he will await his next court date on April 15.
