DICKSON CITY -- Temperatures in the area soared up around 70 degrees on Monday, and with warmer weather staying the forecast this week, the spring lawn projects are beginning.

We found Lowe's outdoor area was a busy spot, finally.

Flowers are in bloom outside, ready for planting. The thought of getting spring started at home brought a bunch of people to Lowe's in Dickson City on this warm, sunny day.

"This is the first flowers I've seen all year," said Joe Ruane of Dunmore.

These are only the hardiest of plants outside now, but they're greeting customers who are anxious to plant something, do some work in the yard.

Debbie Orloski is one of those who couldn't wait any longer to plant.

"I've actually put a few trees in the yard. I had to wait until the ice melted. The first time I went out, I hit ice so I had to wait until it thawed."

And for Lowe's, the weather is allowing the busiest time of the year to get started.

"Our garden center is open. We're getting new plants every single day. Our trees and shrubs are ready to go. We have plant products, food, stuff to prepare your grass. We're ready," said manager Becky Brominski.

Lowe's has all kinds of products inside to help you think spring, but on a day like this, most people wanted to be outside, get what they need and finally get to work.

"It's beautiful today. Get out there and enjoy, enjoy, enjoy, as they say, right?" said Nicholas McGraw.

McGraw is going to enjoy it, even thought he had to get rakes to clean up a mess in his yard.

"That's my wife, she wanted two rakes, one for me and one for her," he laughed.

While it is time to start spring projects, remember you can't plant everything yet. You can wish for warmth to stay.

"No more cold weather! We don't want to put frost clothes on anything, we're ready!"
