HAZLETON -- Easter dinner was plated up for the community in Hazleton.

Volunteers served up ham and all the fixings to hundreds of people at Catholic Social Services on West Walnut Street.

Catholic Social Services teamed up with the Hazleton Heights Fire Company and the United Way to put on the annual event.

"It's bigger than it's ever been, it's grown to 800 meals between deliveries and eat-ins. It's very heartwarming to see the crowd. It makes you feel good that you're doing something and paying back to the community," said Tony Colombo, vice president of Hazleton Heights Fire Company.

Organizers said the Easter dinner grows every year.

They plan to keep serving the dinner as long as there is a need for it.
