Do you have trouble reading small print or looking at things close up? If the answer is yes, Newswatch 16's Kurt Aaron wants to clear things up for you.

This week's "Does It Really Work?" is "Big Vision."  The maker claims, it has 160% magnification and makes things big and clear.  It has lightweight flexible frames, durable optical quality lenses, and a non-slip nose pad.  It's a hands-free magnification that even fits over prescription glasses!  But does it really work?

To find out if it really works, Newswatch 16 went to Motorworld Collision Center in Scranton.  The team there does a lot of detail work, like finding small scratches in paint, checking small electrical wires for cracks and using computer programs and paper files with small print.   As a matter of fact, some of the staff here already use reading glasses to do their jobs.

Let's find out how "Big Vision" did.

One employee said it helped him see fine detail better, and there was 100% improvement.

Next we look at the wiring in the car!

Jeff Guzman said "Big Vision" really magnified the wires, and helped him see if there was any damage to the wiring system.

"Big Vision" helped Steve Kaschak read some finely printed numbers, and he said the glasses work very well.

Time to take a trip into the office.  Theresa Newell has to read lots of small print to read either on paper or on a computer screen.  Kurt asked her to try "Big Vision."   After a few minutes, she was done.

Theresa says her problem is how blurry it gets when you look objects farther away.  It does magnify objects close up but when she looks at other things on her desk they become blurry. So she's not a fan.

But the guys that need to inspect things close up give Big Vision a thumbs up!
