WEST BUFFALO TOWNSHIP -- It was a story that attracted national attention: A boy found without a pulse in a creek behind his home in Union County.

Yesterday Gardell Martin and his family had the opportunity to meet some of the people who helped save his life.

It happened behind closed doors at Evangelical Hospital near Lewisburg last night.

EMT's said it's meeting the people they help that makes their job all worthwhile.

"It was good to see him up and around. The same eyes I saw that day are still there today," said EMT Anthony Pirraglia.

"I was able to see the training take effect. What we've been training for so many years, and to actually see the effects of all the hard work you put in," added Michael Lesher, EMT.

Pirraglia was responsible for more than 30 minutes of CPR on Martin who went over one hundred minutes before getting a pulse.
