BLOOMSBURG---The controversy continues to swirl around a Penn State University fraternity accused of having a secret Facebook page with pictures of nude and apparently unconscious women.
Penn State University has suspended Kappa Delta Rho. Now, officials with the school say they are looking into the fraternity system as a whole.
"I think it's ridiculous , I think it's crazy and I, don't know, I'm appalled," said Alex Harman, a Bloomsburg University student and a member of a sorority.
There is a Kappa Delta Rho fraternity at Bloomsburg University.
Newswatch 16 was unable to speak with members there, although members of other fraternities spoke out about the controversy.
"I really feel like being in a fraternity myself, that I don't think that those things transfer over. I think that may have been something local they may have had for a little while, maybe that was a first time thing for all I know," said Evan Lepovetsky, a Bloomsburg University student.
Penn State officials said while they are looking into the entire fraternity system, this is not about punishing all fraternities.
"Let's focus on punishing those responsible as the key element. It's a preventative element to make sure this type of thing doesnt occur," said PSU President Eric Barron.
Whatever happens at Penn State University, students at Bloomsburg University said one thing is clear to them: Greek life is important.
"I understand there's a lot of heat on the Greek life system, a lot of people look down on it, but it's not necessarily bad things. What they might have done, it was bad, but not all fraternities do that and you can't put that blame on Greek life as a whole," said student Rob Kedra.
"I don't think that's fair, one person's or one group's mistake shouldn't affect everybody," said Lepovetsky.
