BARTONSVILLE -- If you've hit one of those dreaded potholes that seem to be popping up all over northeastern and central Pennsylvania, there's some good news.
"They're just popping up all over. I know it's a lot to do with the weather and the coldness that we've had but it's really getting out of control," said Kevin Williams of Stroudsburg.
Williams says he delivers papers and has tried to avoid the dreaded potholes with his new car.
But if he can't , Jack Williams Tire and Auto Service Centers -- including the shop in Bartonsville -- is now offering a pothole package deal.
"We are offering the pothole special, which is a $19.95 special which includes the oil change, standard oil, also includes a suspension check and alignment check," said Jack Williams manager Tom Snook.
These guys say they also will check all of your wheels and tires. It's now the second year in a row they've offered the deal.
"The thinking behind it is to make sure the customers' vehicles are safe. Once the vehicle has hit a pothole, to make sure there is no structural damage or anything that could possibly break," said Snook.
And while Jack Williams is busy trying to fix all of those cars damaged by the potholes, PennDOT is actually out here on Route 611, trying to fix all those holes.
"I give them credit for what they try to do, I wish they could do better, but it's unpredictable. You can't budget for this," said Clayton Forde of Bartonsville.
PennDOT Officials will have to likely put the patching on hold to plow snow for the first day of spring.
So drivers say they'll be on the lookout, hoping they don't need to stop in for the repairs.
"Take your time, try to avoid, swing around the puddles or the pools or what have you, look out for oncoming traffic, you know everybody just slow down and take it easy," said Forde.
