AVOCA -- A wreck on an exit ramp caused a traffic mess near the Wilkes-Barre Scranton International Airport in Luzerne County Tuesday.
According to state police, a tractor-trailer hauling flammable material flipped before 1 a.m. Tuesday. The fire department and a hazardous material team were both called to investigate.
Teams determined that there were no leaks or danger discovered from the trailer.
Interstate 81's on and off-ramps, as well as the airport access road were closed for several hours.
The on-ramp and the airport access road reopened around 3:30 a.m. Tuesday.
The truck was uprighted just before 6 a.m. and the off-ramp was opened shortly after.
The tractor-trailer driver was not hurt in the crash.
There is no word on why the truck trailer crashed.
