WILLIAMSPORT -- Police in Williamsport are trying to figure out how and why a car crashed into the iHeartMedia building on West Fourth Street in Williamsport.

"I think it's crazy. How do you do you do something like that? Go across the street in a small parking lot and run into the building with your car," said Jacob Strouse from Selinsgrove.

The damage has already been boarded up, but the office at the radio station is closed until next week.

According to police, a woman from Lock Haven crashed her car right into the front doors of the building late Thursday night. There was a fire in the back seat. Police now say they found charcoal, a gas can, and lighters inside the car. Officials say the cause of the fire is suspicious.

"But to have charcoal and why was it on fire there's a lot of questions that I'm sure people are going to want answers to," said Strouse.

Jacob Strouse picks up clothing at a drop off box here in front of the iHeart building. He has plenty of unanswered questions.

"Why she was here? Was she a former employee? Was she you know had a bad day? What are the answers around it?" said Strouse.

"Shame it had to happen," Zora Welsh.

Police say the driver appeared intoxicated. They brought her in for suspicion of driving under the influence. She has since been released.

"There's not a lot of ice here. I mean you shouldn't have to be drinking. It's a shame," said Welsh.

"Yea it doesn't look like there was a lot of damage but you know I come here once a week just showed up randomly and here it is," said Strouse.
