TANNERSVILLE -- The storm Tuesday left some heavy lifting for folks trying to clear the snow.

We talked to people in the Tannersville area working hard to clear driveways and parking lots before more snow heads our way.

Scraping and shoveling snow out of the way again, John Gilroy has been up since around 2 a.m. trying to plow driveways and lots for customers in the Tannersville area. It's a job he says took extra-long with this latest storm.

"Yes, it's a lot heavier. There's a lot of moisture in the snow and it's hard to push around," Gilroy said.

He's not alone. Rick Gaun was snow blowing all morning long.

"It's real wet, makes it harder, it makes everything harder."

Gaun says his driveway took an extra 20 minutes to clear and now he's out helping his neighbors. The snow has been clogging up his snow thrower.

"A little, but once you get past the wet, you're alright. It just takes a little longer," Gaun added.

The problem with snow isn't just that it's heavy and wet, it's also that there's more on the way, and folks are running out of places to put it.

If the piles get too big, Gilroy may bring in some heavier equipment to help move the piles for his about 15 customers.

"They say maybe tonight into tomorrow there's more coming, so once again we've got to keep it pushed away to make room for more snow, so the snow banks are getting pretty big right now."

People who have lived in the Pocono Mountains through plenty of winters know the work only gets harder if you wait.

"It's coming again, so you got to get this out. And it's going to freeze tonight, so if you don't get it out, you got it a lot worse tomorrow."
