MONTOURSVILLE -- About $10,000 in damage was done to an antiques business in Lycoming County when a vehicle plowed into it. The crash Saturday pinned a customer against the wall.

The owner of Callahan's Antiquities in Montoursville says his entire store shook Saturday morning, and when the dust settled, he found a Jeep had plowed into his back show room.

Broken antiques worth nearly $10,000 are piled up at Callahan's Antiquities in Montoursville.

"Most of the items are circa 1880s."

One side of the building is boarded up. Michael Callahan's store at the corner of Broad and Washington Streets was open Saturday morning when a Jeep crashed through the building. Callahan took some photographs right after the crash. Police say a customer inside the store was pinned against a wall.

"Moved some debris away and then got to him. He was pretty banged up."

Brooke Sechrist from Montoursville was behind the wheel of the Jeep, according to court papers. She told police she was texting and fell asleep but she later admitted to drinking the night before. Court papers indicate Sechrist tried to get out of her cuffs, ran from police, and kicked an officer.

"She was trying to get away. All she kept saying was, 'I was on my cell phone. I was on my cell phone,'" Callahan said.

Callahan is not sure how much it will cost to repair the damage, not to mention that the antiques can't be replaced. Callahan says at this point he's just glad everyone is OK.

"They are quality antiques but we'll bounce back," he said.

Montoursville police charged Sechrist with drunk driving and resisting arrest.

Allyson Ungard owns the hair salon next door to Callahan's Antiquities.   She heard the crash and says she knows Sechrist.

"You know people make mistakes. I feel bad for both parties involved," Ungard said.

Callahan hopes to reopen his business Thursday. When we were there, Sechrist called and apologized to the owner.
