WILKES-BARRE -- Shoppers were forced out of a Wal-Mart in Luzerne County because of a fire Friday night.
Firefighters said smoke and sparks shot from a heater in the front of the store at the Wilkes-Barre Township Marketplace around 9 p.m.
Firefighters put out the fire and shoppers and workers were allowed back into the Wal-Mart after a few minutes.
