SCRANTON -- Folks were putting their best foot forward for breast cancer awareness in Scranton on Sunday.
Newswatch 16's Sharla McBride was one of the models strutting her stuff Sunday at the Pink Elegance on Parade Fashion Show.
It was the 11th year for the event that benefits Susan G. Komen for the cure.
Models included breast cancer survivors, kids of survivors and even some local politicians.
More than 500 people showed up for the sold out event at the Radisson in Scranton.
"So this is a day of celebration for us to just know, to tell them they are loved, appreciated and supported by everybody here. 557 of their closest friends," said Tracy Doherty, Scranton.
Organizers said all the money raised at the fashion show stays in Lackawanna County
