GREAT BEND TOWNSHIP -- There are new developments in a homicide investigation in Susquehanna County. Police now have two people in custody.

The two suspects were arrested Wednesday night in Bradford County.

Investigators say it's in connection to the stabbing death of Roy Marvin.

State police say they found Sarah Briggs and Jerry Mast in the victim's car, parked at a hotel in the Athens area of Bradford County early Thursday morning. Both were taken into custody, questioned, and according to court papers, Briggs admits they stabbed Roy Marvin and left his body along Harmony Road near Hallstead Tuesday.

They were being held in Bradford County but are expected to be brought here to state police near Gibson to be arraigned.

We learned just about 24 hours ago who the victim in this case is Roy Marvin,26, from Hallstead. State police obtained surveillance video of Marvin at a gas station in Great Bend just about one hour before his body was found.

Marvin's body was found Tuesday along Harmony Road near Hallstead covered in blood, and at first, without any indication who he was or who killed him.

Now state police say Briggs admits Marvin and Mast got into an argument over meth at a parking area where the body was found by a game commission officer.

Then Briggs says Mast stabbed Marvin numerous times and the two rolled the body over the bank.

Troopers say this case was not clear cut from the start

"Excellent police work, like you said, not having his ID to when he was first found, to not even 48 hours later having these two people in custody, excellent police work," said Trooper Connie Devens.

Court papers also say the alleged murder weapon was found at the scene and that it came from a home of a relative of Sarah Briggs prior to the stabbing death.
