UPDATE -- State police identified the victim as Roy Marvin, 26, of Hallstead. Autopsy results show he died of multiple stab wounds and the death has been ruled a homicide.

Anyone with information is asked to call state police at 570-465-3154.

GREAT BEND TOWNSHIP -- The discovery of a body in Susquehanna County has state police on the case and neighbors left wondering how safe they are.

An autopsy was done Wednesday on the man's body. At that point, investigators did not know his identity and it's not clear yet if they do now.

One thing's for sure, people who live near where that body was found along the Susquehanna River have had their peace and quiet shaken.

A small, radio-controlled drone buzzed above the scene where a man's body was discovered Tuesday near Hallstead.

The detective with the Susquehanna County district attorney's office was getting a bird's eye view of the area where one day before, an employee of the state game commission found that body down over the bank.

State police had the scene blocked off and ever since have been looking for clues. Who was the man? How did he die? And who left the bloody evidence behind?

In the daylight, detectives went door to door, looking for a lead.

"This was really just a shock to me like anyone else," said neighbor Jack Daley.

This sort of thing is familiar enough to Daley and his neighbors along Harmony Road. A woman's body was found several years ago at a boat launch not far from where a man's body was found this time.

"There have been a lot of bodies dumped on this road over the years. People got to start watching what's going on around them."

One day after that gruesome discovery along Harmony Road in Great Bend Township, there's still quite a bit of blood in the parking area for the game lands. Go down the road a little bit, over the bank toward the river, there's a lot more where that body was found.

"I came up here for nice quiet peacefulness of it, now this is unsettling, to say the least."

Another man didn't want us to show his face. He watched for most the day Tuesday while troopers swarmed the area when that body turned up.

This second discovery of a body along Harmony Road has this gentleman worried for his safety.

"Was a nice quiet place to live, makes you think now what's going on here? Is big city coming to rural area?"

State police are not saying much about this investigation, releasing virtually no information including who the man is or how he died.

The major case team is handling the case. Anyone with information can call state police at Gibson.
