NEWFOUNDLAND -- "This is from the plow now. It gets a little harder in here," Richard Dyer said.

It was one of those mornings where Richard Dyer of Newfoundland needed an extra cup of coffee. A little boost to shovel just under a foot of snow at his home in Wayne County.

"The walk over there, that was all clean with no trace of snow. Other than the sides where we threw the snow, but we're kind of getting to the point where this is almost four feet high. It's getting a little harder to throw the snow up," Richard Dyer said.

Just down the road from Dyer we found other people digging out too.

"The snow is actually good. It's not heavy packed snow so it's a light fluffy bit so it does throw nice and easy," Dennis Donegan of Newfoundland said.

We found Donegan plowing out his driveway.

He wasn't using your typical snow thrower.

"This is a 45-inch snow blower. So the wife picked this out? Oh yes, this is hers but as you can see I'm outside," Donegan said.

These buffalo's didn't seem to mind the snowy day outside of Hamlin.

They weren't the only ones enjoying the snow.

"Good. Really fluffy. You can sink easy," Carter Mistishin said.

Carter wasn't kidding. Snow outside of the Mistishin home was knee deep.

The kids and their dog Willow seemed to love it.

Kennedy on the other hand enjoys the snow, but she doesn't enjoy missing another day at school.

"I don't like snow days because then we have to make them up in June and it's not fun to go to school in the summer," Kennedy Mistishin said.
