SELINSGROVE -- A business that's been in Selinsgrove for almost 50 years is moving to Danville this week.

"I think it's pretty sad because they are definitely almost like an anchor store in downtown. It brings a lot of people into Selinsgrove so it's hard to see them go," Sara Maul said.

Store Manager Barry Kobel says the store did very well in Selinsgrove until the Susquehanna Valley Mall opened. J. Kleinbauer sells custom-made, high-end clothing.

"Suits, sport coats, dress coats and custom shirts. We also do tux rentals and we do ladies' apparel," Kobel said.

Kobel says the reason why they are moving to Danville is because they want to be closer to their customer base.

A lot of our customers come from Danville, Bloomsburg, New York, Wilkes-Barre/Scranton area, so that's easy for them to get off of Interstate 80 at Danville," Kobel said.

This is an ideal location for them," Tony Turel said.

Turel of Mahoning Township says he is happy to see nearby Danville's economy continue to grow.

"I think it's been growing over the last year. There have been several places that have started," Turel said.

The store is moving into the vacant space next to BJ's Steak and Rib House on Mill Street. It is also changing its name to "Mirror Image Fashions by J. Kleinbauer". The new location opens this Thursday.
