LAKE WALLENPAUPACK -- The roads are clear and the sun is shining in the sky - for now.

Kenny Paltzer spent several hours of the day plowing out the snow in Greentown to make way for more snow.

"Once it gets pretty deep, it's harder to move it out of the way," said Paltzer.

With more snow on the way for much of our area, businesses like the Church Street Hardware Store in Hawley say they're seeing quite a few more people stopping in and stocking up.

"It's pretty much all we've been selling - the rock salt, the calcium chloride, and the shovels," said Tom Moore of Church Street Hardware.

But there are those who say bring on the snow, like people out on Lake Wallenpaupack playing ice golf.

A few hundred people embraced the cold and grabbed their clubs for the 24th Annual Ice Tee Golf Tournament.

"[The snow] actually helps," said Keith Williams, a volunteer. "Last week, we didn't have any snow on the ice, so if you hit a shot it would end up down in Ledgedale. That's about 8 miles away from here."

With the ice holding up this year, the tournament helps support the Chamber of the Northern Poconos.

"We bring the sleds out. We bring the dogs out, set up a canopy, have a grill on the sled, and have a great time," said Linda Francis, who has a vacation home in Tafton.

And people explained they're looking forward to more snow - to a point.

"Good luck trying to find your ball with almost ten inches of snow here," said Tim Chaykosky.
