SCRANTON -- Groups from our area headed to the nation's capital to protest the Supreme Court ruling that legalized abortion.
About 40 people boarded a bus just before 7 a.m. at the Keyser Oak Shopping Center in Scranton and traveled to Washington D.C. to participate in the 42nd annual "March for Life" event.
The pro-life march in Washington coincides with the anniversary of the Roe Versus Wade Supreme Court decision upholding a woman's right to have an abortion.
The ruling prompted a nationwide debate about a mother's rights which still continues today.
