EXETER TOWNSHIP -- On Tuesday, Tom Wolf will become the 47th governor of Pennsylvania and when people toast the Democrat at his inauguration, there's a decent chance they'll be drinking a wine made right in northeastern Pennsylvania.

Bartolai Winery near West Pittston is just one of several wineries across Pennsylvania that just recently got quite the big order.

The winery will be filling the glasses of PA's political powers at Governor-elect Tom Wolf's inauguration celebration.

It's not every day you get a phone call from the governor-elect. But that's exactly what happened to Ray Bartolai last week.

"It's been kind of crazy, but we're very honored to be a part of this."

The wine connoisseur and owner or Bartolai Winery met Wolf at a friend's house last summer.

"We hit it off. I presented him with some wine we made here and he called us and asked if he would give him some wine for the inauguration," Bartolai said.

"Once the owner found out his wine would be featured at the Governor's Ball, he says he and his crew had to ramp things up quite a bit to get the bottles of wine ready in just a couple of days.

"It was exhilarating. The first thing I said was, 'How are we going to do this?' So I called some friends and our bottling crew came in Monday and Tuesday and we just started bottling," said Bartolai.

In the end, four different wines totaling nearly 100 bottles were shipped down to Harrisburg.

People in the area say it means a lot seeing a small town business making a big splash in the state capital.

"It's got to be huge for the community, for a community this size. It's not very large. It's a couple of blocks long. It's got to be amazing. It's going to put them on the map," said Morgan Green of Waymart.

"I think it's great and they deserve it. I've been coming here since they moved in four years ago," said Bill Edwards of Harding.

"It means a lot to me personally," Bartolai said.

Bartolai said he plans to make the trip to Harrisburg and be there when he sees everyone at the Governor's Ball drinking his family's wine.
