SLABTOWN -- A man scratching off a lottery ticket at the counter of a convenience store in Columbia County got quite a surprise.
The Valley Kwik Mart in Slabtown says a regular customer bought a $20 scratch-off on Friday and won the top prize of $1 million.
A copy of the winning "$1,000,000 Super Cash" ticket hangs on a wall of winners in the store.
"The biggest thing closest to this was $1000. We're pretty excited that this happened," said Louise Grove, a worker at Valley Kwik Mart.
The lottery hasn't identified the winner yet, but the owner of the store says he's a great guy who will do great things with his winnings.
The store also gets $5,000 for selling the winning ticket.
