PARADISE TOWNSHIP -- Police are investigating a shooting at the Travelodge hotel on Route 611 near Mount Pocono.

Monroe County officials said two people were shot at the hotel around 8 p.m. Friday night, and a third person showed up at a nearby hospital with a gunshot wound to the chest.

So far there have been no arrests and police have not said if they have a suspect.

Officials tell us all three people that were shot are construction workers at the Kalahari Resort, a new water park being built in the Poconos.

Officials have not released the names or conditions of anyone involved, but do say all three are alive.

State police said they do not believe it was a random act or that the public is in danger.

Investigators believe the shooting was the result of a fight between workers at the water park.

A clerk at the Travelodge said the hotel is open for business, but the area where the shooting happened is off limits.

A woman who lives at the hotel said it is normally quiet.

"There were just police everywhere. They were all over the lot, SWAT gear and guns, and all that," she said.
