WILKES-BARRE — The president of the Luzerne County Council has stepped down.
Councilman Rick Morelli made the announcement at a council meeting Tuesday night.
Morelli says he will remain on council to finish his term, but he will not run for re-election.
Democrat Linda Houck was elected to replace Morelli as council president.
