BARNESVILLE -- A police officer in Schuylkill County has been charged with simple assault and harassment
State police say Corey Herring, 30, of Barnesville punched his ex-wife in the face on New Year's Day.
Herring is a part-time officer for the Tamaqua police department.
The police chief says Herring is not scheduled to work due to the charges against him.
