DREHER TOWNSHIP -- A man charged with killing his wife and neglecting dozens of animals pleaded no contest in Wayne County.
Bertrand Schroeder is accused of shooting his wife, Donnalynn, in 2012 at their home near Newfoundland.
During the investigation, authorities found more than fifty dogs living in deplorable conditions inside the home.
Schroeder pleaded no contest to voluntary manslaughter and cruelty to animals.
He now faces 10 to 20 years behind bars when he's sentenced in Wayne County.
