BUTLER TOWNSHIP -- Officials at the Luzerne County SPCA said animal cruelty charges have been filed against a man accused of abusing horses.
The pictures shared online earlier this month show exposed ribs and other marks on two horses.
According to officials, both horses died at a self-boarding facility in Drums recently.
Authorities said Edward Balliet of Drums now faces charges for one of the horse's deaths.
They could not charge him with the second death because of lack of evidence.
The Luzerne County SPCA said the third horse is recovering and doing much better.
