CLINTON TOWNSHIP -- Three stores within a ten minute drive of one another on Route 15 were robbed this week in central Pennsylvania. A store manager believes the armed robberies are connected and the robber needs to be stopped before someone gets hurt.

The Subway restaurant right off of Route 15 near Montgomery is back open. Manager Dolly Graybill is back helping customers one day after the restaurant was robbed by a man carrying a fake gun. He had just ordered his sandwich.

“Went to the counter, acting like he was getting money out of his pocket and grabbed the girl's arm and demanded the money,” said Graybill.

The armed robbery was caught on tape, so was the robbery that happened at the Sunoco near Allenwood in Union County, and the one at Kwik Fill near South Williamsport. State police say all three robberies happened this week and are located within 10 minutes of one another. Troopers are investigating to find out if the crimes are related.

It`s been about a week since the Sunoco right up the road from the Subway was robbed by knifepoint. Now, folks who live around the convenience store say they are also worried.

“It`s crazy, we`re supposed to be living in this safe town and all of a sudden you start hearing about all these robberies. It`s kind of scary,” said Heidi Myers from Watsontown.

“Really didn`t startle me at first until I started realizing how many, how frequent got robbed around this area, so kind of got nervous, locked my stuff up,” said James Caton from Gregg Township.

State police say a man pulled out a gun and robbed Kwik Fill mini-mart on Route 15 near South Williamsport on December 23.

“Gosh, I just hope it stops. It`s crazy to me,” said Myers.

“If he`s done it to these three, who else is he going to do it to and is he going to get meaner? Is he going to hurt someone in the meantime? He needs to be done,” said Graybill.

State police in Montoursville and Milton are still searching for the suspect or suspects in all three robberies.
