STROUDSBURG -- 2015 is going to be a special year in Stroudsburg as the community in the Poconos gets ready to mark 200 years.
The borough has already started selling commemorative items to mark Stroudsburg's bicentennial.
Some of the items include wooden nickels, train whistles. Along with coffee and beer mugs.
The commemorative items can be purchased at the borough building in Stroudsburg.
All the items being sold will go to help pay for a community-wide celebration Labor Day weekend.
Stroudsburg's 200th anniversary is actually in February, but borough leaders decided to hold the celebration in September when the weather is nicer.
There will also be a 50-year-old time capsule opened to mark the anniversary.
