MUNCY TOWNSHIP  -- A fundraiser in Lycoming County is aiming to help bring a homeless man across the country back to his family.

The manager of Glow Golf in the Lycoming Mall is organizing a benefit for Jeffrey Gottshall, a homeless man in San Francisco originally from Montoursville.

The man's family members, now living in Sullivan County, have not seen Gottshall in nearly 20 years.

They spotted him in a holiday greeting  on the Montoursville Police Department's Facebook page. The video was originally posted by  NearShot a media interaction group in San Francisco.

Now they want him to come back safely to our area.

Owners of the mini golf course inside the mall hope the fundraiser will help Gottshall return home.

"You go from standing on the street and sleeping on the street to now you have a warm bed and people around you, you don't know how to react. So you absolutely need some kind of professional help to do that," said Jessica Brown, manager of Glow Golf.

The fundraiser at the Lycoming County Mall will be held on January 17.
