PLAINS TOWNSHIP — One lucky guy in Luzerne County has a new car to drive around this holiday season.
Anyone who donated $3.00 to the United Way of Wyoming Valley was entered into a drawing for a variety of prizes, including a two-year lease of a car.
John Konze of Wilkes-Barre was the winner of that lease.
Konze doesn’t currently have a car and has been getting rides to and from his job at Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs.
“You have to give back to the community and help those who are less fortunate, for me to have a job and do what I do, it`s the right thing to do to give back to the community,” said Konze.
Konze got the keys to his new wheels Monday at Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs.
