SELINSGROVE -- With Christmas only two days away, many are relaxing at home with presents already wrapped.

But a lot of others are still buying those last-minute gifts!

The Lycoming Mall was pretty busy all day and people walked by the Central Pennsylvania Newsroom with shopping bags full of presents.

We also stopped by the Susquehanna Valley Mall in Snyder County where it was the same story.

The countdown to Christmas is almost over but you wouldn't know it from the large amount of shoppers at the Susquehanna Valley Mall near Selinsgrove.

"It's nuts. I wait every year and I wish I didn't."

William Cooper of Danville was shopping for his wife. He says he waits until the last minute every year.

"I procrastinate for as long as I possibly can."

Shoppers filled the stores at the Susquehanna Valley Mall and last-minute gifts filled their bags.

"Oh, I just have to get a couple little things then I'm out of here. It's pretty crazy," said Joel Straub of Riverside.

If you're really taking last-minute shopping to the extreme, you can always go to Kohl's which is open 24 hours a day right up until Christmas Eve.

Maybe Kierstin Paroli of Lewisburg should go there.

"Brothers, Mom and Dad and my boyfriend," she said, ticking off her list.

"Are you nervous?"

"Yeah!" she replied.

Paroli went to work at 4 p.m. and says she wanted to get her shopping done before that.

"Didn't get paid until today so I wanted to make sure I got all my stuff done today."

Store employees say this is one of the busiest shopping weeks of the year. Matthew Hirsch works at Schuylkill Valley Sports and says sometimes he can't keep the shelves stocked fast enough

"Every year, no matter what how many shopping days you have, once you get here, without a doubt, these last three days everybody's here."

Both the Lycoming and Susquehanna Valley Malls are open until 11 p.m. Tuesday and 2 p.m. Wednesday.
