WILKES-BARRE -- Newswatch 16 is learning more about the demolition underway at Geisinger South Wilkes-Barre.
Officials said the structure, built in 1908, is coming down.
It currently wasn't used by the hospital and is being demolished to make way for a loading dock.
Geisinger said it is part of the $12 million in renovations underway at the former Mercy Hospital.
The medical care company took over the facility in Wilkes-Barre nine years ago.
