SCRANTON -- A holiday classic so many enjoy watching this time of year is coming to life on stage in Lackawanna County.

West Scranton High School’s Drama Club will showcase “A Charlie Brown Christmas”.

“A Charlie Brown Christmas” has been around since the 1960s. It focuses on the over-commercialization of Christmas reminding viewers the true meaning of the holiday.

The dates and times for the upcoming shows are: Friday, December 19 at 7 p.m., Saturday, December 21 at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m., and Sunday, December 22 at 2 p.m.

Tickets are $5 and may be purchased during school hours at the main office, or they may be purchased at the door.

The donation helps fund the drama club’s spring musical, "The Addams Family".

The club has about 45 students involved from cast to crews.
