SCRANTON -- A car smashed into a business Thursday afternoon in Scranton's west side.

It happened around 4:30 p.m. at the corner of Jackson Street and North Main Avenue.

The car crashed into the side of Manley's Corner Store.

Police say the driver had a diabetic episode. They say she was not hurt, but a passenger in the front seat suffered a broken leg and had to be taken to the hospital.

There were three other people in the car, including two children. They are all OK.

Police say the store sustained only minor damage and should be able to open on Friday.
