SCRANTON — A man who worked for Lackawanna County is accused of forging the signature of a state official to get money for development projects.
The attorney general’s office says David Lavelle, 43, of Scranton worked for the county’s development office when he forged the signatures to get block grant funds.
The alleged forgeries took place between 2010 and 2013.
Lavelle worked at the Lackawanna County Department of Community and Economic Development at the time.
He is charged with forgery, theft, and tampering with public records.
