SCRANTON -- The wet weather was not what organizers had in mind for the Buy Local Holiday Marketplace in Scranton.
While vendors and shoppers did their best to keep things merry, the rain made that a bit more complicated.
Rain could be seen dripping into the tents and at times the lights cut out.
An art vendor said he went the extra mile to protect his wares from the elements.
"I always have them in one bag. Today, I have them in three bags so they are staying dry, thank goodness," said Robert Zitzman.
The wet weather did have one silver lining for some vendors.
Warm drinks and soup proved to be the hot items at the Christmas event in Scranton.
