HONESDALE -- State police in Wayne County are once again helping out Santa Claus.
For the fourth year, troopers out of the Honesdale barracks have collected toys for needy children.
Troopers dropped off bags and bags of toys to the Wayne County Children's Christmas Bureau on Wednesday.
This year, state police said they have a lot to be thankful for.
"The outpouring from the community has been wonderful. It's been great in the aftermath of the shooting at the Blooming Grove barracks. So it feels even better to give back," said Trooper Brian Rickard.
Organizers said they'll be able to give toys to 500 children in need this holiday season.
