LACKAWANNA COUNTY — Over 1,000 homes and businesses were without power for part of the morning on Thanksgiving Day.
According to PPL’s website, more than 1,500 had no power in the Moosic, Taylor and Old Forge areas of Lackawanna County.
Crews said a snow-covered tree branch came down on a power line near the intersection of Mine Street and Spring Street.
In Old Forge, traffic lights were also out at several intersections including the one along South Keyser Avenue.
According to PPL’s website, most of the power in Taylor was restored by 6 a.m. on Thursday.
