Newswatch 16 found drivers taking it slowly on Farview Mountain near Waymart on Saturday afternoon.
Cold temperatures in higher elevations along with the rain turned some roads like Route 6 to ice.
Other areas also saw slick conditions. PennDOT reported portions of Routes 15 and 220 in Lycoming County were closed due to wrecks.
Officials said both lanes Route 15 reopened around 6:30 p.m. Route 220 was back open by 7:15 p.m.
The EMA director of Clinton County said starting around 2:30 p.m. there were reports of around 60 wrecks in Clinton County alone due to icy conditions.
PennDOT officials remind drivers to maintain a safe distance between vehicles and urge anyone who doesn't have to go out on the roads to stay home.
