SCRANTON -- Hundreds of people came out for a basket raffle to help a family who lost a son.

There were dozens of donated baskets at All Saints Academy on Jackson Street in Scranton.

Leonard Zupon, Jr. was killed in August in a crash in Old Forge. His father is still recovering in the hospital.

The community has been rallying since then to help the family after losing the 12-year-old boy so suddenly.

"The support has been unbelievable both in donations of baskets and as you can see the quad behind me, also just food, volunteers, everything," said Shawn Blackledge of Scranton.

In all, organizers said more than $10,000 was raised for the Zupon family at the basket raffle.
