MONROE TOWNSHIP -- Everywhere you look at the Susquehanna Valley Mall near Selinsgrove, you see Christmas trees, poinsettias or holiday sale signs. The mall is ready for Christmas, but are the shoppers?

"We didn`t have our turkey yet," said Joe Ambrose of Mount Carmel.

Ambrose feels it's too soon to see all of the Christmas decorations at the mall.

"Too early because Thanksgiving is too early. Halloween is too early. They put things out too early. It`s that simple, in my opinion, anyway," he said.

Most of the stores at the Susquehanna Valley Mall are already in the holiday spirit, with holiday shopping bags and items to go inside them. A lot of the stores are having sales so people can get their shopping done early. Even so, not everyone is on board.

"It's sad that the tradition of Thanksgiving and being with our families and the tradition our country was based on is now gone to commercialized," Bethi Hendrickson said.

Not everyone thinks it's too soon to get in the Christmas spirit. Luke Wilkinson of Dornsife enjoys seeing all of the decorations at the mall.

"I think it`s really cool. Me and my family, we always go way out for Christmas. We always decorate. Our house looks like the North Pole every year in Dornsife," Wilkinson said.

Some of the stores are starting their Black Friday sales on Thanksgiving Day like they did last year. Some of the shoppers we spoke to think that's way too early.

"I hate it. Women love it, but I don`t like it," Ambrose said.

"I think it`s horrible that people have to make a decision whether to spend time with their family or go to work and feed their family," Hendrickson said.

Santa Claus comes to the mall on November 15th.
