ARCHBALD -- A choral group was part of an early Veterans Day program Thursday at Valley View High School in Archbald.
A special assembly also included a speech by the father of the late Sgt. Jan Argonish, a soldier from the National Guard who was killed in 2007 in Afghanistan.
The History Club presented the Gino Merli Veterans Center with an $1,100 check from money raised through a t-shirt sale.
Several veterans were in attendance at the assembly.
