SOUTH ABINGTON TOWNSHIP -- A special guest visited with children from the Scranton School for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing on Wednesday in Lackawanna County.
Major League Baseball player and Clarks Summit native Cory Spangenberg stopped by the campus near Clarks Summit and answered questions from the kids.
School officials said the visit from the San Diego Padres player coincides with Red Ribbon Week which is a campaign to raise awareness of alcohol, tobacco, drug, and violence prevention.
