Republican Governor Tom Corbett and Democratic challenger Tom Wolf met in Pittsburgh for their last debate before Election Day.

One of the main topics of discussion was education spending.

Wolf attacked the incumbent's record while Corbett defended his decisions.

"Clearly my opponent along with the public sector unions have been saying and lying, that we cut. The cuts took place during the Rendell administration. Everybody knows that. Even the Inquirer and other newspapers across the state of Pennsylvania have agreed that the cuts took place at that point in time. We have now grown the budget back to over $10 billion in Pennsylvania, I think it's $10.3 billion and we have put more money into education than any time in the history of education in Pennsylvania," said Corbett.

"If you don't believe the figures look at our schools. We've laid off 27,000 educators the last four years, class sizes have gone up, property taxes have gone through the roof. We are not spending what we did spend before on education in the classroom and that can be seen by everybody. We need to invest in education," said Wolf.

Election Day is Tuesday, November 4th. There will be full coverage on WNEP, WNEP2, and wnep.com.
