WEST PENN TOWNSHIP -- People came out to help wounded warriors and celebrate the life of a Schuylkill County solider.

The second annual Ride with Pride was held at the West Penn Rod and Gun Club near Tamaqua on Saturday.

The ride is held to remember and celebrate the life of Specialist Christina Joy Leone who died in 2012 after a car crash.

There was a poker run, cook out, and raffles.

All the money raised at the event in Schuylkill County will go toward the Wounded Warrior Project.

"Events like this really bring military families and families with soldiers all together, it's just great," said Sgt. Theresa Gustafson, the event organizer.

Organizers said they raised more than $5,000 last year for the Wounded Warrior Project and hoped to raise even more this year.
