PRICE TOWNSHIP -- The police presence in Monroe County increased as night fell.
Armed troopers lined the side of Snow Hill Road and parked in driveways as they continue their search for Eric Frein, the man state police believe killed one trooper and injured another at the Blooming Grove barracks in Pike County 15 days ago.
People who live in the Snow Falls community off of Snow Hill Road said the police presence has increased, especially since homes in the area lost power.
Residents along that road said they lost power around 7 p.m. Saturday.
According to PPL’s website, about 80 people in that area were without power. Officials with PPL said a tree branch fell on a wire. Power was restored around 10:30 p.m.
Residents said they're grateful state police are still in the area.
"We are 100 percent behind them. I don't care if it takes six months. The guy assassinated an officer, so whatever it takes," said Rene Ouimet of Price Township.
