PRICE TOWNSHIP -- It's now more than a week since Eric Frein allegedly shot and killed one trooper and injured another in Blooming Grove and after all those days into the massive manhunt, it's been much of the same in Monroe County: troopers are out in force and Frein still remains at large.

With guns drawn, troopers are on high alert for any signs of Frein.

It's been 11 days since he allegedly shot and killed one trooper and injured another.

Troopers continue to zero in on a neighborhood in the Canadensis and Cresco area. Even the commander from the Blooming Grove barracks took part in the search on Tuesday.

"Chaos, the cop cars are coming up and down the road. We haven't been allowed out of the house for a couple of days. This is the first we've been out," said Price Township resident William Aleckna.

Aleckna and his wife Joyce live just off Bear Town Road, an area that was shut down to residents for days. Late Tuesday afternoon, it reopened without notice.

Joyce says for days they've been watching the police move.

"Last night they cleared out of here like it was over and then this morning I went out, I came home and I found I had a lot more company again."

After what seemed like a shift in search areas, troopers remained zoned in on this area along Wildwood Drive while our cameras were there.

A state police spokesperson says troopers are confident Frein is on the run in Price and Barrett Township, but some neighbors are beginning to wonder.

"I wonder if they really know where he is, if they really have him, because it's been 11 days now," Williams said.

"I believe there are bunkers in these woods. He's been planning this a long time, and he's had nothing but time on his hands to build these bunkers and I'm sure they're well hidden. These woods are dense," Joyce added.

Jeanie Kurzrok says she hasn't got mail in days, and that her life has been disrupted while Frein remains at large. She says her thoughts are with the ones searching.

"It's a tragedy what's happened and I just hope he is out there cold, wet, and uncomfortable and that they find him very soon before he hurts someone else," Kurzrok said.

No official update was given Tuesday on the investigation.

Search crews we spoke with say it's been an agonizing 11 days as the hunt for Frein continues.
