A man from Bartonsville pleaded guilty to a charge relating to an investment fraud case.
According to investigators, Joseph Gallardo, 48, of Bartonsville pleaded guilty to mail fraud in federal court Tuesday.
Prosecutors said he persuaded clients to invest in a real estate venture, Blue Meadow Group, but then used the money to purchase a gas station and convenience store and to fund his own investments.
Investigators estimate Gallardo’s victims lost about $1.8 million.
